Privacy Policy

Service Desk Compare (servicedeskcompare.com) is published by Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us only through the contact form.

The site has no user accounts, no payments and no comments. You can read every page and use the calculator and comparison tools without giving us personal data. We handle only the following:

• Contact form messages. Your name, email address, chosen topic and message. For copyright notices, also the extra details the form asks for (the work, the URL of the material, your statements and electronic signature).
• Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data for each request: IP address, browser and device details, the page requested and the time. This is used to run and secure the site.
• Browser storage. None. The site does not set cookies and does not write to localStorage or sessionStorage. The calculator and comparison tools keep your choices in the page and, for the comparison tool, in the page address (for example ?vendors=...), which you can see and share yourself.
• Google Fonts. Page text uses fonts loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When fonts load, Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google states it does not set cookies for this service.

We do not use analytics, advertising scripts, social media widgets or tracking pixels.

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on:

• Legitimate interests for operating and securing the site (server logs, font delivery) and for reading and answering messages you send.
• Consent where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that happened before.

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site for us.
• The form delivery provider that passes contact messages to us, once one is configured.
• Authorities, courts or advisers where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Yes, data may be processed outside your country with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent legal mechanism.

• Contact messages: as long as needed to handle your message and any follow-up, then deleted.
• Server logs: for a limited period set by the hosting provider, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

EU and UK. You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, receive it in a portable format and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we hold, to delete it, to correct it and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share it. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
