What is our approach?
Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd., publisher of Service Desk Compare, respects intellectual property. We respond to notices that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) and to equivalent notices under other laws.
How do you send a notice?
Use the contact form and choose the topic "Copyright notice". The form asks for each element below. A notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- Identification of the material on this site and its URL.
- Your contact information, including an email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner.
How do you send a counter-notification?
If material you provided was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake, send a counter-notification through the contact form with the same topic. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the notice.
We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notification, unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
What if a notice is false?
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
What about repeat infringers?
The site has no user uploads. If we ever publish contributed material, we will stop accepting contributions from anyone who repeatedly infringes.
Will your notice be shared?
We may forward a notice or counter-notification, including your contact details, to the party concerned.
