CALCULATOR · RATED SEPTEMBER 2026

IT service desk cost and score calculator for 2026

Last reviewed 27 September 2026 · Service Desk Compare reviewers

The default settings reproduce our ranking: each slider starts at half of the published weight for its criterion, so the re-weighted scores equal the totals on the ranking page. Change the sliders and the order changes with them. Costs use list prices from vendor pricing pages as published on 27 September 2026, before tax, discounts, add-ons and implementation.

Agents, seats or technicians, depending on the vendor's pricing unit. Requesters are not counted.

How the numbers are calculated

Your score = (ITIL score x ITIL slider + AI score x AI slider + time to value score x its slider + CMDB score x its slider + requester score x its slider + integrations score x its slider + pricing score x its slider) / (sum of all seven sliders). Monthly cost = published price per agent, seat or technician x the number of agents, or the plan's minimum if that is higher. Annual cost = monthly cost x 12, or the fixed annual price where a vendor publishes one. Cost per score point = annual cost / your score, shown for US dollar prices only. With the sliders at their defaults, your score equals our published total.

Scores are editorial assessments from public vendor pages, last reviewed 27 September 2026, and prices are list prices as published on that date.

How do I use the calculator?

How is my re-weighted score calculated?

Each service desk's seven criterion scores are multiplied by your slider values, added up and divided by the sum of the sliders. The scores themselves do not change; only the weights do. At the default slider positions the result equals the total on our ranking.

Why do some service desks show no cost?

ServiceNow ITSM [G2 compare page] and Ivanti Neurons for ITSM do not publish prices, and some top plans are quoted, so the calculator shows 'Not published, contact sales' instead of an estimate.

Does the cost include AI add-ons and implementation?

No. It uses the published price of the plan in each row. Add-ons such as Freddy AI Copilot ($29 per agent per month) or ServiceDesk Plus modules ($1,195 a year each), usage allowances and implementation are extra. The total cost guide walks through a 20-agent example.

Why is Halo's price in pounds?

Halo's pricing page shows a UK list price of £66 per agent per month, billed annually, with a currency selector for other regions. We show the figure as published and do not convert it, so Halo has no cost per score point.
